Da-Yu Ling Oolong is from the highest elevation tea gardens in the world. Our Da-Yu Ling Oolong is grown at an altitude of 8,500 ft in central Taiwan. It can only be harvested in limited quantities twice a year, and its remote mountainous environment makes growing and harvesting very challenging. The benefit of altitude is that the cool, moist mountain air and dramatic temperature fluctuations result in a deeply nuanced and flavorful tea.

Da-Yu Ling tea is highly sought after by the most demanding tea connoisseurs because it is both rare and deliciously complex. Limited supply, high quality and high demand make this scarce tea more expensive than other high mountain oolong teas, but the experience is worth the price. We are very lucky to be able to offer this tea in the USA.
